1. A very useful site, especially for anyone interested in seeing some old photographs of the village, is "Windows on Warwickshire". 2. The "Heart of England Tourist Information" site, which includes original photos and descriptions of some of the best tourist attractions in Warwickshire, is worth a visit. Use the link www.heart-of-england.net and click on "Wootton Wawen and the Saxon Sanctuary" under "Villages" in the left-hand menu.
3. The "British History online" site is interesting. Go to www.british-history.ac.uk/place.asp and click on "Midlands" on the menu of places. Then insert "Wootton Wawen" in the search space in the top right-hand corner and hit 'Go'. There are a number of items listed for further perusal, one of particular interest is "Alien houses - Priory of Wootton Wawen"
4. The Heritage Lottery Fund financed a project for "Kings College Cambridge" to research their estate records. (The original Priory, its assets and Church were given to the College in 1443 by Henry VI.). 5. Canal and history enthusiasts will find "The Stratford-upon-Avon Canal Society" website interesting. 6. "The Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry" site provides some local information - the general site is: www.bmsgh.org and specific details relating to St. Peter's in Wootton Wawen can be found at: www.bmsgh.org/parish/warw/tyaiw/woottonwawen.htm/
7. The website for the "Saxon Sanctuary" exhibition has been upgraded and contains lots of history about the village and St. Peter's Church : www.saxonsanctuary.org Additionally, the three local anglican churches of Wootton Wawen, Preston Bagot and Claverdon have their own website: www.churchesofarden.org.uk
