Heart of England Tourist Information
The "Heart of England Tourist Information" site, which includes original photos and descriptions of some of the best tourist attractions in Warwickshire, is worth a visit. Use the link www.heart-of-england.net and click on "Wootton Wawen and the Saxon Sanctuary" under "Villages" in the left-hand menu.
The British History Online
The "British History online" site is interesting. Go to www.british-history.ac.uk/place.asp and click on "Midlands" on the menu of places. Then insert "Wootton Wawen" in the search space in the top right-hand corner and hit 'Go'. There are a number of items listed for further perusal, one of particular interest is "Alien houses - Priory of Wootton Wawen"
The Heritage Lottery Fund
The Heritage Lottery Fund financed a project for "Kings College Cambridge" to research their estate records. (The original Priory, its assets and Church were given to the College in 1443 by Henry VI.).
